*Sonnedix Japan is the trusted operator for investments made by Sonnedix in Japan.
Founded in July 2013, Sonnedix Japan, the trusted operator for investments made by Sonnedix in Japan, currently oversees 19 solar power projects in various stages of development across the country, from Kyūshū to Tōhoku.
Japan is unique in that the majority of projects are greenfield developments built from the ground up, often in challenging environments. Given the manpower involved in shepherding multiple projects through multi-year life cycles simultaneously—from development and financing to construction and operation—the Tokyo headquarters of Sonnedix Japan has doubled in size over the last year and continues to grow in step with the company’s commitment to building a long-term, sustainable renewable power business in the country.
With its recent announcement of a major expansion of pipeline projects that bring its total in-country investment to over $1.3 billion, plus strategic alliances with partners like GSSG Solar (a solar investment manager), Sonnedix Japan is becoming one of the leading players in the Japanese solar market.
