Sonnedix, inaugurated on October 18, 2010 its first photovoltaic project built in France. The project is located in Dinard, Brittany, and it is a building integrated project (BIPV) that replaced over 25 tons of asbestos on multiple industrial roofs. The PV project has an installed capacity of 804KW, and was financed by two French banks, on a non recourse project finance basis. It consists of over 5500m2 of monocrystaline and thin film panels, producing enough electricity to power the consumption of 300 households. The project is the largest PV plant in Brittany to date, and was built by a local contractor, the Facilasol Group. ” We are very pleased to announce the deployment and project financing of our first PV project in France. We are especially pleased to have been able to use local contractors and local French banks, and look forward to working with the regulator, utilities and financial institutions in the French market to expand our business and continue to build sustainable energy projects in France.” said Franck Constant, Director of Sonnedix BV.
